Recommends payment of bills as motioned by Mr. Cannon and seconded by Ms. Cox

Recommends approving One-Time Additional COVID Pay for all employees as motioned by Ms. Cox and seconded by Mr. Cannon.

Committee received Monthly Report for all Major Funds.  No action was taken.

Personnel Executive Committee opened by Susan Taylor, Chairperson, with the following member(s) present:  Kasandria White and Gene Longino

Recommends approving revisions to Job Description and Contract for Director of Nutrition & Health as motioned by Ms. White and seconded by Mr. Longino.

Red River Parish School District Board Meeting

Monday, October 11, 2021 4:30 PM

The Red River Parish School Board met in session Monday, October 11, 2021 for Committee and Regular Board Meeting with the following members present:  Gary Giddens, Gene Longino, Susan Taylor, Richard Cannon Kasandria White and Valerie Cox               Absent:  Cleve Miller              

The meeting was opened by Mr. Giddens, President of the Board with Prayer, Pledge of Allegiance and Mission Statement led by Mr. Cannon.

Mission Statement:  Red River Parish Schools Provide Excellent Education: 

                                     Every Child, Every Day, Whatever It Takes!

Board voted to approve the agenda of October 11, 2021 as motioned by Ms. Taylor and seconded by Ms. Cox.   Motion carried.

Board voted to approve minutes of September 13^th and 23, 2021 as motioned by Ms. Cox and seconded Mr. Longino.  Motion carried.

Ms. Renee Hester and Ms. Nicole Bailey, introduced “Educator’s Rising Program” which seeks to create a pipeline for the next generation of teachers from the local community.  Ikarah Reeves, a student in the program was recognized.

Board approved the following Policy Updates as motioned by Ms. Cox and seconded by Mr. Cannon.  Motion carried.
